I been hearing my neighbors TV & music, & my upstairs neighbor. I soooo hate noises, my cat meowing hurt me too, her meowing doesn’t brother me all the time, it’s only when she keep meowing non-stop. How do people here deal with noises?

Yes, noise cancelling headphones.

I love mine.

I would feel far too self conscious wearing them out especially in a noisy bar or other place when accompanying Mrs V who likes that sort of thing. For these occasions I have a set of discreet silicone ear plugs that fit in a tube attached to my key ring. Not as good of course but surprisingly effective. My idea of hell is a noisy bar with loud music that makes everyone try and shout over the noise. I am really at a loss as to how anyone can find this enjoyable. I cant even numb myself with alcohol as I don't drink.

Too much noise makes me distressed and agitated. Very sudden loud noises can make me more so to the point of anger.

My idea of hell is living in my current home. It's an older house and there are strange metallic popping noises - loud and totally at random. Furnace, fan and fridge. I can even hear the buzzing from when the thermostat kicks in (contacts opening). My brain winces every time! I need more soft furnishings to absorb the sound! Glad I don't have dripping taps

I just wish my headphones and ear plugs were not so excruciatingly painful to wear. I have to wear them almost 24/7 and even sleep in them and sometimes they make the Bass frequencies that I can't tolerate worse but the pain of wearing them all the time becomes unbearable. But I just have to deal with the physical pain because the pain of the sensory stimuli is worse.
