No, exercise is good for you physically and mentally.

No, going out for a walk on a daily basis for a minimum of 30 minutes will help you feel good.

Walking is good for you mentally and physically.....

...as long as you are walking in safe areas
... and at the moment keeping well apart from other people.

Stay safe... :D :D

Walking can be a way to explore a city or enjoy nature, but when I'm mostly trying to cover ground for exercise or practical work, I like to focus on breathing deeply in time with my steps. Most of my life, it has been four steps breathing in and four out, but sometimes fewer. This is very calming.

Going for walks is good for everyone. I usually walk for an hour each day. I haven't been doing that because of Coronavirus.

There is a large park in Portland that is very popular. I was there just yesterday and I have pics
if anyone wants to see them.

PM me if you do.

Going out for walks is one of the absolute best thing you can do especially now during the pandemic. Viruses do not like sunshine!

^^ Yes, and now you can even cross the street to avoid people, and it's not anti-social at all. :-)

Yep. In some very significant ways, suddenly we're not disabled, we're exemplary citizens. :-)

As for going for walks, certainly in the UK which has made the gov's version of social distancing mandatory, one outing per day for exercise is accepted as a just cause for leaving the house, as long as you stay 2 metres away from other people you don't live with. I don't know of any jurisdiction that is being any harsher than that.

More generally, from a health point of view, I think it's usually a case of "if you can walk, you should walk," as long as there's no obvious medical reason why it would harm you. It can be quite painful to walk an appreciable distance after not doing so for a long stretch, as I found out to my cost a year or two ago, so I think the adage "use it or lose it" applies. It might feel like it's doing harm at first, but eventually I think the health benefits kick in and in the long term people feel better for walking. Obviously, keep away from thugs. Personally I never walk about needlessly at night where I live in the UK, for that very reason, but it's civilised enough in the daytime.

I think I've often been an exemplary citizen, just from trying to belong here.
It took me a long time to realize that too many labour-saving devices robbed my body of the activity needed to properly nourish the head. I usually managed to build exercise into my daily routine, but here I've had to waste effort. Walking was OK until my route was destroyed by development, but when there is ice on the ground, I get stiff from the tension of trying to avoid falls. So, now I ride my bike indoors on a resistance trainer in the winter.

I asked cuz my ex-boyfriend turns friend, is worried about me,he told me it not good for me, cuz of my health problems, I knew he was overreacting. I would love to go out walking with a mask on. I cannot go out to walk,I have a bad leg, when I broke my ankle almost two years ago, my ankle healed, but my bones didn’t healed right, the doctor told me I need surgery again. My bones didn’t healed right in my elbow when I broke my elbow three times when I was a child.
