Sudden "emotional attack"?

I get these sometimes and it happened again, where suddenly I get overwhelmed with emotion for seemingly no reason and almost have a meltdown... What is this???

It's a sudden overwhelm with emotions.
I get it, too - I used to have much more when I repressed more emotions.
I try to find some quiet space and try to understand what I feel and how it relates to my current life.
I often find out exhaustion and sensory overload are huge contributors to the overwhelm.
