Does anyone else hold water in their mouth as a stim? I've been doing that for as long as I can remember. I'll take a big sip of water and just hold it in my mouth for a minute or two before swallowing it.

Yes! I’ve never thought of it as a stim, funnily. Thanks, you’ve added a whole new perspective. I’ve done this for as long as I can remember and always wondered why? Not just with water either ... hot drinks, cold drinks, alcohol, anything liquid. I do this without even realising I’ve done it ... till it eventually registers, and I finally swallow. I’d just accepted it as one of my quirks .

I've always done that but never thought of it as a stim either. I can't hold the liquid in my mouth for very long though as I can't breathe through my nose properly.
