I came across this channel about Asperger's, and while the name of the channel is clearly English, the videos are all in German, currently without any English subtitles. I am looking for someone to translate the videos not to post the translations here, but rather to message them to her to add to her videos as subtitles.

I could but I won't. If you ask me - she is to artifical and to much of a self-exposer only and not worth any time effort. Sorry!

And those two videos are neither in any variety of German, nor by a German/Austrian/German Swiss/Pennsylvania Dutch vlogger.

have you tried placing a smart phone next to the speaker and using the translate function?

The only other options is set you tube to display captions the manually type these into google translate. (very time consuming i know)

Youtube can translate to any language.

Click the CC button (subtitles/closed captions) to turn it on.

Click the Settings gear wheel.

Click Subtitles/CC -> Auto-translate.

Select English (or any other language you want).

Don't expect the translations to be perfect, however.

Thanks for advice about U Tube settings.

Yeah. She pretty much is just yakking about her pets. Nothing much about aspergers.

But I'm asking for human translation, not machine translation.

How did Lisa (yes that is her name, she says so on her channel) find this site?

Lisa is now allowing others to add subtitles to her videos. Here is one that already has them:

If you need the subtitles, you might even want to consider watching the video without sound, unless you really want to listen to the video as well.

Hi Lisa, nett Dich hier zu sehen. Nimm es mir bitte nicht übel, aber als Aspie habe ich mit derartigen Komplimenten überhaupt kein Problem. ;) Vielleicht kannst Du aber ja selber mal versuchen, Deine eigenen Videos mit englischen Untertiteln zu versehen und Dich selbst mal zu erleben wie Du vor länger Zeit so warst.
So etwas könnte als Strafarbeit äußerst lehrreich sein ...

( Hi Lisa, nice to see you here. Please don't hold it against me, but as an aspie I have no problem at all with such compliments. ;) Maybe you can try to add English subtitles yourself to your own videos and experience yourself a little bit how you were a long time ago.
Such a thing could be extremely educational as a punitive work ... )

No, not if others, like myself, are willing to help with the translation.

If this is the site I'm thinking of, it's embarrassing to me because I'm of German ancestry on my mother's side. I don't like this woman at all.
