Welcome! It is nice to see another computer programmer. I made this site with nuttdan and we are computer programmers. I hope you like it here and decide to post messaged about stuff on a regular basis! What is your favorite hi tech thing?

Cool! Looks like you're off to a great start.

This is my site for software that I make: www.wonderwarp.com

I actually started Wonder Warp when I was eight or nine years old and made some cheesy stuff under that name, but thankfully didn't release a lot of it. Check out the stuff I've released now a days though.

Like Alex said, great to see another programmer, and I hope you like it here.

So does my dad! But only in the winter. If you want more information about him, private-message Gomez. (Yes, he uses Wrongplanet.net.)

Greetings,

I've been programming since 1984 (when I was only 6 years old).
I have a degree in the subject and I liks to think I'm pretty good at it.

But unfortunately thats not enough for companies. They all demand experience which is impossible to get in teh first place. They are idiots! I have only had one job and that didnt last long due to my 'issues'. I've been unemployed for the last 3 years.

P.S. My hobby is making avatar chats (graphical chats where you have a character that walks around a virtual environment and interacts with other characters). If anyone remembers DreamShift, I built that.

Asm (80x86, 68000, Z80), C / C++, Pascal / Delphi, Visual Basic, Java (I hate java), Javascript, PERL, and I even remember COBOL :P

I also have my own scripting language which I call DogByte (I named it after a particularly silly Dead Kennedys song plus the fact it runs from compiled byte code)

Welcome indeed. I am currently 35, saw my first computer at my neighbours place when I was 11 or 12... (1982) fell in love, first love, still my favorite love...

Ahh the good old days, instant on, the "OS" was a programming language... to usea computer you had to programme one...

I'm 40, and hit the computers in 1980. And yes, it was my first and only true love for a long, long time. In fact, my ex used to accuse me of loving the computer more than I loved him. It's *really* hard to come up with an answer to something like that. I mean, what am I going to do - give up computing?
