“Cars” by Gary Numan is “autistic” in my opinion. It was a pretty big hit in 1980.

I'm guessing that Autistic Music is as much a spectrum as our other characteristics. I actually have a car that I could spend a week in, and emerge ready for a job interview, but I would not put that tune in my collection. It sounds like Los Angeles on a bad day.

I don’t think an artist or group has to be specifically diagnosed with some form of autism for it to click with the autist. My username is from a band called Tool, one of my favorites, and I don’t believe that Maynard Keenan is autistic. If he is, he’s learned how to speak cryptically, which is something I think I’ll always struggle with.
