Can ASD be diagnosed without parental involvement?

I think the doctor diagnosed me.
He did say out that I have Aspergers, but I don't know if it actually went into the report.

My parents have stereotypes against autistic people and told me that Aspergers is not related to autism.
They told him I was "perfectly normal" at home.

I don't know what happened. Do you think he really diagnosed me? I am afraid that he will suddenly decide to withdraw the diagnosis, if that is even possible.

I was diagnosed without parental involvement. But they did have a ton of psychology reports and history from when I was a kid.
