I saw this on a youtube video where people practice falling asleep instantly!

It reminds me, maybe just weird me.. but when I am completly sensory overloaded i have a tendancy to shut down and pillow or whatever over my head and pretty much fall asleep instantly. Does this happen to you ????

No, but I wish it did since I'm an insomniac and never get enough sleep.

Maybe I've never been completely overloaded, though.

I have passed out from exhaustion, but not from anxiety. I've also known a narcoleptic, who was prone to napping anytime.
I have been struggling to get enough sleep for years, but recently, have had some success at establishing a circadian rhythm by eating at consistent times.

I usually fall asleep quickly.

However staying asleep long enough is another matter.

Being overloaded never put me to sleep that I recall.

A soldier told me that he saw some of his compatriots falling asleep during battle.
I have had trouble with fear of sleeping. Driving when tired is bad for habit-forming, but then I fell asleep when walking between bathroom and bedroom. I turned out the light, and fell down the stairs between the rooms. I remember thinking, as in a dream, that I didn't remember the bedroom having a step down, and that I should try to land on the bed, throwing myself forward. Next, I had a disaster from being woken up at just the wrong stage of sleep, and was almost completely disoriented for two weeks. That only added to the fear of falling asleep.

That’s crazy! I’ve never heard of it.
