They want me not to retaliate to sensory torture for a year?

Can anyone believe this? This is literally what an agent of local government said. I bet they imagine me all Oliver Twist, "please, may I have some more motorbike?" FU*K NO, bottles my weapon of choice, and if they crash and burn I'll celebrate.

They think they can be sadistic, but I can't even live? Yeah, right... and I'm not even being sadistic on my part above, I am trying to live! WTF's wrong with living?!

Can you elaborate? What were you prevented from doing or forced to do? Anything related to Corona?

Generally speaking the authorities are obliged to tell you to not retaliate no matter the circumstances.

Nothing to do with a virus, it's not noisy (on that front better than humans...) - but I'm afraid if things escalate and police possibly involved I might end up infected... so goddammit, just because some idiot wants to be a cowboy...

funeralxempire, in a sane society they'd intervene to stop this, but some are either corrupt or lazy...

Loud motorcycles driven near his home.  He believes it is being done specifically to target him.  Now he is implying he will use bottles to retaliate.

They fail to demonstrate what seems like appropriate empathy because they can't comprehend your perspective, thus the boilerplate response of telling you to not retaliate. They're right because the legal system won't have any sympathy for you if you do. Will prison be better? Probably not.

If you get violent over it then a jury is likely to be full of NTs. If you shout at people, it's legal but it's unlikely that you'll be listened to.

Unfortunately since it's meant to be 'a jury of your peers' and it never is, it's just a jury of the majority who happen not to be solicitors etc. So mostly NTs, you'd have to convince NTs of your pain.

It's a good idea to try to find other ways of coping. Even just playing your own sounds will drown other people's sounds out a bit. Or wear noise-cancelling head phones if they're not provoking to touch sensitivity.

People aren't doing it on purpose. Most people are unaware of their own noise & NTs are usually unaware that noise can even cause pain.

I used to have a street light outside my window. I'm really sensitive to light and it shone into my window all night. I dealt with it by putting up black out blinds and wearing a sleep mask, didn't work 100% but cut the light out quite a bit. As much as I was tempted to do the (non-violent) crime of smashing up the lamp post, all that would have achieved is me getting into trouble.

^this you need to find a way to alleviate the noise outside of aggressively/violently retaliating. Also, I get the implication you already have gotten in trouble over this before well eventually you aren't going to get another chance and you'll likely end up imprisoned and I am sure that will be even worse for your sensory issues.

It's not that I don't have any sympathy for your plight, but you have got to find a different way of handling it or your life is going to get much worse.

There is a tiny possibility that you are being tortured deliberately, in order to provoke a response that will go badly for you. Recommended - don't respond.
There is a huge possibility that you are sleep-deprived and half-mad, overreacting to normal sounds. For everyone around you to be as quiet as you want would be torture for them, called "walking on eggs." Recommended - go get some sleep, and take enough time to get over this year of positive feedback on negativity.
Basically, you are given quite a bit of control over yourself, but almost none over the world. Work where you have a chance of success.

Oh wow! The thread title now makes sense. But the odds of those motorcyclists as a group, or just one of them recruiting the rest, actually targeting him are infinitesimally low. Unless, of course, he personally knows a motorcyclist, and had a prior negative encounter with that person: ticked him off or made himself look weak.

Nobody, NT or aspie, goes out of their way to target a stranger they know nothing about; it's always because of a prior anger or a known weakness. (Not factoring in racial or ethnic hate.) Maybe he lives on a street that became a popular motorcycle route, or in a city with a strong motorcycle culture to begin with (like Sturgis, South Dakota). Hard to say.

It doesn't seem like your therapist has much empathy for people on the spectrum. That seems like it would be very, very hard to do.

I think the OP might be suffering from a disorder where you are constantly paranoid and feeling like the world is out to get you. Most people with this mindset don't realise they are just being paranoid because to them it's REAL. Telling that person that they are being silly doesn't really help the person, as it can make them feel alone and isolated.

I have a friend who's like this. She thinks that her neighbours are out to get her when to me it looks like they're just getting on with their normal daily lives. She thinks that everything they do is against her. Like one time someone built a little shed in their back garden and my friend kept on to me about them building the shed to spite her in some sort of way. And whenever I go to her house we have to whisper because she thinks they're listening, and she says to me that they're out to get me as well. It's been going on like this for years. Her paranoia really has got the better of her because she's so nervous and has even set some traps in her house because she thinks they're going to break in - not to steal anything but just to nose around and judge her.
I have to go along with it because I don't have the heart to tell her that she has become really paranoid. To her it's real, and it must feel scary for her. Maybe she's been living on her own for too long, I don't know.
