Has anyone else ever gotten the look? I don’t know exactly how to describe it but it’s like when someone looks at you a bit oddly like they can tell somethings off about you. I’ve been getting this look since childhood my dad thinks I’m paranoid. :x

Yes, and when one walks past on the road near a childrens playpark the parents rush to grab their childrens hands even though one is not acting oddly in any way and has never done anything wrong to warrent such odd reactions.

Yeah, but I can only pinpoint it from the people I know because I know how they usually look at things and people. If a stranger looks at me weirdly, it has to be really obvious for me to notice it.

The only time I notice people looking at me is when they want something from me; so no, I do not get "The Look"...

... unless I turn down their requests for free hand-outs.

I have seen the look ....you don’t have to do anything ....it’s just something you notice . Especially when there
Is rumor mongers about . When people decide that they want something from you , had learned from one of my teachers to just say “I ‘m not the one “. It seems to work especially ,if you just keep going about your business.
And leave them standing there. .

Eh, possibly? I don't really care if anyone's looking like that, though - that's their problem, not mine.

Yes. I didn't notice it as a kid, but I notice it now. People usually act different around me once they get that "look", like something clicked in their head that there's an "issue" with me. There's also different "look"s and I can tell if someone's about to start treating me like I'm stupid/a child or just weird.

I got the look today, when I was in a restaurant. I was just being myself and acting naturally and some old man gave me the look.

It’s that double look at you . Then there is the staring afterwards ...it may not be a long stare , but it is there .
Usually it may or may not involving someone whispering to a co worker or the friend .... it is just obnoxious , I feel .
Most often , am trying to ignore it . And just go about my own business .

O.K. Before a human learns to talk, they learn to communicate with their eyes. At the age of 1 or 2 years, they have become so proficient that they can identify a friend or foe within less than a second by looking that their eye and the region around their eyes.

But unfortunately most of us aliens from outerspace (Aspies) have missed that crucial training. Therefore we project the wrong signals with our eyes and it immediately lights up the "foe" or "caution" light.

Now you can spend years trying to learn the techniques from projecting the proper eye signals or you can take the approach that I do. I simply deny others the ability to see my eyes. I wear blue mirrored finish eyeglasses. It is like looking through a one way mirror. I can see them but they cannot see me.

Yes.

Only in Belgium.

They stared at me everywhere I went.

All the time. It's best to just try and overlook it.

Yes. I fear getting that look all the time too.

Yes, but not as much as in comparison to maybe four years ago.

But just think of it as nothing bad and ignore it.

Sometimes.
And at times, before I was given a formal diagnosis people made remarks to me.

For example. One time, I was sat in a bar having a beer, and a guy sat near us who were talking to our group,
asked me out of being curious "you are very odd, is there something wrong with you?"

I can be hyper vigilant, as well as on edge due to sensory abnormalities as well as suffering from a co-morbid anxiety disorder On top of that, I do have a minor tendency to be tangential in my verbal communication.

When I was at Uni, one of the tech support guys kept making comments about "its that strange guy that keeps saying strange things"...

again, this is because I my communication can be very tangential but also I am a creative, so have a strong imagination, and perhaps lean towards surrealism.

Which isn't well tolerated in a city like Liverpool UK, which is a Northern city in the UK with a reputation for being tough if not volatile. Not a great place for a hyper vigilant anxious Asperger without a diagnosis....
but nevermind.
