Havent had the privilege yet myself.

How many of you WPers have had what you believe is the covid 19 virus?

What was it like if you did?

Welcome to share your experiences.

Gosh darn!

I meant to put this into "Random", and not into "General Autism".

I never had a positive test, since testing was rare March.

I tested positive for antibodies, though.

I'm not sure if I had it, but awhile ago someone I know was exposed to it and I got very slightly ill. It was like my entire body was sore, I was fatigued for a few weeks, and had a slight dry cough for awhile. I'm young though and COVID doesn't seem to affect people in the same groups (young/old, with/without risk factors, etc.) the same way. I wouldn't want it again if I had it, since I know it can be worse other times you get it.

I thought I had it last March but I can't be sure. I had a sore throat, body aches and a slight stuffy nose. My boyfriend had the same but without the body aches.
But I don't think it was COVID because otherwise my boyfriend would have got really ill with it. I mean, what chance does a man in his 50s with COPD, overweight, weak immune system, high blood pressure and sleep apnoea have of surviving COVID?

Unsure.

At worst, I might be asymptomatic the whole time and apparently managed not to infect anyone living near me -- both my mom and my sister so far are negative.

A lot of COVID symptoms are similar to my yearly bouts due to chronic sinusitis.
Or some annoyance in my upper respiratory that would made me supectible to infections -- by just inhaling some cold air or breathe wrong every time I sleep at night and wake up with flu like symptoms.

Last year, there was none. There's still none up to now.

Or I'm not infected yet probably out of sheer dumb luck -- I go out often even before going back to, I work about every other day for weeks now, and I live with frontliners the whole time.

Fairly certain I did last February before UK testing was set up. I didn't think it was at the time because the only two symptoms anyone was talking about back then was a persistent dry cough and fever. I had fever but the cough was chesty. Later when they started talking about losing your sense of taste and smell I began to think it may well have been covid because that's exactly what happened, couldn't taste or smell anything.

I felt like crap for about two weeks but no more severe than flu. I'm not really in a high-risk bracket for it though so if it was Covid I got off lightly.

A person can have all the risk factors, and get only a mild case of COVID.

Have you thought about getting an antibodies test?

Diarrhea, fatigue, aches, sore throat, cough, headache

Did not get a diagnosis

But those symptoms could have a lot of etiologies

I've been about as isolated from the outside world as it gets since the pandemic started, and I expect to stay this way until it can be reasonably said that it's over. Shopping strictly online only, and I already worked from home before anyway.

So that's a no from me, thankfully.

I put "Not sure". There were a few times where I was exposed to it. A friend tested positive and I'd been around them briefly, so it's possible I had it then. Further, my sister may have had it, but testing was difficult to get a hold of so we don't know.

Frankly it's difficult to know with my underlying issues. I'm asthmatic and I have IBS. Well, technically self-diagnosed for the latter at the moment until I can get a doctor's appointment. It's not a bad bet, considering a family history of IBS on both sides of the family and the exact same patterns and symptoms as my dad who has the condition. Recently I've been keeping notes trying to figure out what foods I can eat and when without getting sick. The stress (of online classes and a mixed workload with similar deadlines) isn't helping either, nor is my chronic sinusitis. I keep flip - flopping between underweight and ideal, which I'm trying to sort out. A shame I can't go somewhere far away with a bunch of pine trees and no deadlines.

Now, I did experience a brief time with a sore throat and weariness, but that's an average Tuesday when I'm feeling rundown. That could've been stress (sometimes when I'm stressed I become physically ill) or my asthma acting up (granted, I'm technically registering at levels that wouldn't be considered asthmatic, due to a lack of exposure to cigarette smoke - the main trigger that worsens my asthma. It's been enlightening to see how much of an impact not being around smoke has had) or my sinusitis in general.

I've been isolating for a long time anyway since then and I haven't been anywhere for ages. My main focus is trying to regain my weight back and trying to keep my stress down so I can become healthier. It seems unlikely that I'd contract covid at the moment (if I haven't already ... can you contract COVID again if you've already had it? Maybe with a different strand, perhaps?) since I barely leave my room.

Apparently it looks like I'll be vaccinated in July based on predictions. It is a shame that I likely won't have a graduation ceremony, unless they move it to the winter. Further, it is likely that I'll be having my 22nd birthday under heavy restrictions. I had my 21st in lockdown. Things better be sorted before I turn 23 otherwise I am going to lose my mind. I know that's rather dramatic and self-centred, but I don't want to spend the entirety of my 20's stuck inside a house with my parents. At this point I miss going grocery shopping.

I’ve been strictly isolating. Haven’t had it. I don’t mind dying, but I don’t want to do it alone in a hospital.

I voted not sure.

I have not had COVID-19 symptoms which does not mean I did not or don't have it.

Not sure.
I got sick mid-March last year with symptoms of headache, fatigue and fever.
I remember the fever lasted a good 3 to 4 days on and off, more than I've experienced before.
And I was fatigued for about two weeks.

But at that time they weren't testing everyone, so I can't tell for sure.
Statistically, it was more likely to have been the flu than covid, considering my chance of exposure where I live was very low.
(But I can't help feeling it might have been covid).

Not sure where to get one, and whether it would be very beneficial.
I'll probably end up vaccinated anyway, once they get around to my demographic.

Kraftie, will you still have the vaccine, or will you trust your antibodies?
