You know, over the years, and I don't know whether I am alone in this aspect, but over the years, I've seen my share of friends betray me and make mountains out of molehills on me.

I've been called a "stalker" (NOT true) and "worse than Onision" (a controversial YouTuber, for the uninitiated) also NOT true). I ALWAYS have the best intentions towards friends, but for some reason, some of them have been rather misunderstanding and misconstrue me.

Has this ever happened to you? I'd like to hear from you on this.

NTs often need a justification to "rationalize" their dejection. The truth is, they really didn't like you as a person, all talked badly about you behind your back, tolerated you for a bit, then found an excuse to blow up and dismiss you. It's less about poor communication, they often know it's no big deal, but it's their "out." So, yes, this is common.

Where were you from January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2021?  One man did this to at least half of the population.

I once had a friend totally blow up for opening her mail, when the envelope clearly stated that it contained only a sticker for our shared telephone. She had been unhappy about many things, but that gave her a "real reason."
A co-worker became very upset that I was holding a few nails in my mouth. When very young he had been traumaized by his father accidentally driving a nail between his own teeth.
Someone who never listens thinks I made a mountain out of a molehill when I finally shouted at her for a dangerous trespass. She is probably spreading vicious gossip about me if she can.
My ex was the big betrayer, though. To her, suspicions were proofs, and she moved into her own little world.

My mum disowned me for three days over a self-made German helmet, back in 2016.

Sometimes you think something is a molehill and someone thinks it is a mountain

Sometimes they are just looking for an excuse to explode

It was the straw that broke the camels back
