I think that's called making a podcast. You just need to produce it and release it.

Not yet, but I might be open to it.

No. I hate the way I sound on recordings.

You mean recording your voice on a tape?

I used to do that all the time, until I discovered that modern cassette-players don't come with a built-in microphone any more.

I should do that though. I have ideas I like that escape me because I never write anything down.

Do it, if it's just a tool to record ideas it doesn't matter how it sounds.

If you want other people to listen to it learn how to apply normalization, de-essing, EQing and limiting and suddenly it will sound a lot more like a proper voiceover.

That's like manually decreasing or increasing volume for specific parts?

It isn't quite manually doing it, it's more like processing the audio to average out the sound, fine tune it and then make it more even. It's way more even and consistent than anything you can do manually with the amplify tool.

Normalization makes the average level the same all the way through (but doesn't change the dynamic range, quiet parts are still quiet, loud parts are still loud).

De-essing takes the harshness off of the hissy consonants like s, f, etc.

EQing lets you adjust for how the mic and the room sound.

Limiting reduces the difference between the loudest parts and the quietest parts and makes a big difference for making things sound professional.

Not fond of recording myself . But occasionally do talk to myself , for I am my own best company .
Mostly end up doing best self talk in my own head. .

Is it sadder if no one ever listens or responds, though? Like, countless hours and months and... okay, just 1 response literally, so far... I guess I don't want to bottle thoughts up even if it's a mostly solipsistic existence...

Recordings oneself , doesn’t imply that there will be a response . ? I think ?

No, but I, like, talk about something extensively for hours, zero views... while others are, like, "I eat pizza", 1m views...

Yes I have seen that happen too . Sometimes it is easy to overwhelm some people with long posts

It's still a release even if no one seems to be listening. Further, it takes awhile to build an audience, I wouldn't expect any media project to just blow up at once.
