[Just for fun]
I have heard that aspies often have problems with daily chores, and many can't cook. I definitely fit into this category. I can do scrambled eggs, but it is such a complex task and requires so much planning, that I reserve this dish only for special occasions. :D For anything more complicated I go out. What about you?

Cooking? My standard method is to put some vegetables in a dutch oven with some meat and liquid and bake for 2 hours. It generally boils over/dry and isn't very good. But I'm good at baking cakes (not muffins, though).

Two hours?! 8O For me it's like this: "I'm hungry, I want to eat now". Dying from hunger, the longest I can stand is 16 minutes it takes to heat frozen pizza, or 16 minutes it takes to drive to Golden Corral (my favorite all-you-can-eat place). :D Actually I'm serious.

Any frozen item that goes in the oven I'm ok with. I mostly live off of pizza rolls. I can bake pretty ok too. The trouble comes in when I forget there's stuff in the oven. A timer might help, if I would remember to set it!
My big ticket items are sushi and kimchi. It's so involved I don't have time to get busy with something else in the meantime.

That doesn't mean I actually watch the food. I go to my room and after I tell my computer to beep after two hours, I code on my computer until the beep. Why else would I have a problem with the food and the liquid levels. I cook enough to last a week, so the initial 3-4 hours (preparation and baking) aren't much.

I chose "Premade food (frozen pizza, canned soup etc.)"

I am not much of a breakfast person, even more so in recent years since I am not up at "breakfast time." I make myself a lunch, either a TV dinner, a sandwich (only with chesse and chicken or turkey; I am not a cold cut fan).

For dinner (today was a rarity), my parents [either and/or both my parents] prepare the meal for the three of us. Because of my schedule (go to bed late/get up between late morning and early afternoon), I make something [generally quick] during the evening.

I can cook, but am lazy and often choose not to. I can mainly cook things like steak and fish, and I own a George Foreman grill. I am a big fan of Alton Brown from the Food Network. I have both of his cookbooks, and they are really great. He is quite different from other chefs in that he gives scientific background on each of the dishes in his books, i.e. the processes that they undergo while in the oven.

Every now and then I go on a health kick, and cook, but generally a one bowl concoction. I have a terrible time with anything involving timing and coordination. These days I've been going in for boiled vegies and pasta and the hottest chilli sauce or indian pickle I can lay my hands on. My supply of saucepans dating back to circa '84 has halved recently (I now have one), which makes cooking even more challenging.

I can't cook much at all. I can prepare toast in the toaster and put frozen pizzas in the microwave oven and prepare canned soup. I'm terrible at most of the domestic chores like cooking. :)

I am the greatest griller alive in my family. Your relatives call you to fix their computer, mine call me to grill their steak. Other than that, I can cook fairly complex meals, but the question is: Will you eat it without gagging?

I prefer to use stirfry and other simple preperations. The most complex thinig I've made was enchildalas and that was after much urging by my parents.

Pasta is easy for me, so I make a lot of that. The simpler, the better.

I cook things like chicken legs with one vegetable and some pasta. Sometimes I make things where I cut up the meat, fry it, stir in some sauce from a jar, and eat it with pasta or rice. Sometimes I add some vegetables. When I am tired I just cook something that you can just put in the oven or microwave, like a ready meal or pizza.

I love to cook...I am always trying new recipies and experimenting with new ways to cook and serve food. I find that daydreamimg about what I am going to cook/eat later in the day is a very good way to relieve stress during the work day. Also I like to hyper-focus on the tasks of preparing a meal (chopping, stiring etc) as a way to relax...somewhat like Zen meditation really.

I can basically cook anything if I follow a recipe.

My great-great-grandmother taught me how to cook. Women back in her generation started cooking for whole families when they were six or seven year-olds so I had a great teacher. I can cook most things well on the first try but haven't tried baking from scratch yet.

Fried cat fish, tacos, pork neckbones with spagetti, baked chicken and rice and chicken breasts are my favorites. But whenever I don't have the energy, I go with something easier like breakfast food, frozen pizza or hot dogs. I live alone, giving me more leeway on meal selection.

I can cook all the basics, frozen ect.

I can also cook a full meal made from fresh ingredients.

I am also an excellent baker.

I make cakes and biscuits, they all look flash as and taste wonderful.
