This is a band that i have known about and loved for many years and although not a proper "fan" i fully appreciate them as a band...

Here is my "song of the moment" The title means `This sadness will go on`

I cant imagine there is many people here familiar with the band but anyone who is will understand what im talking about when i say about Richey James Edwards...

Did he or does he have AS i wonder ???

hello :D

Definitely am but became one after Richey went missing.

I like how they always evolve. I think the 'sell out' philosophy is great. There is so many people say you can't do something because you'll be a sell out. Cultural elitism basically. Manics are the opposite, they are true to their creativity and don't mind don't the odd cheezy cover for the fun of it.

My favourite is Spectators of Suicide which is on the B-side of the You Love Us (Heavenly) single released in 1991.

here are some others that I like

Hiya, i am not such a huge fan, my sis is a proper fan though, we went to see them live in Madrid years ago but then again Richie was missing already.
We took pics of them just before they got on their bus when leaving the stage, and my sis got an autograph from them all (but Richie obviously).

I can´t really say cos i dont know much about him whether he´s aspie or not, but he seemed shy and "different" actually, whether aspie or NT...who knows.., hope he still alive somewhere thou.., :(

There is a lot said about Richey and a lot to explain about him of witch im not going to do here but what fascinates me among other things is the fact that he made it clear before hand that he had never contemplated suicide and called it "the `s` word" as if to suggest that he couldn't even begin to believe the notion behind such a thing and yet he has been missing now for over 12 whole years without any trace of a body or any serious lead to go on......Someone who has managed to quite literally vanish off the face of the earth.

personally i believe he is alive but in a way i hope i never find out because its just such a huge mystery i hope for his sake his peace is never broken and pulled apart by uncaring people

This video is a typical example of when you have someone thats got something meaningful to say and someone that cant understand where that person is coming from, ok so i don't share the same politics but i love it when someone can talk in detail and have a real belief of something. Something the NT world seems shy and almost afraid of at times......

Ive been a fan since about the time they released FASTER:-

I saw them once a couple years ago in Manchester. I don't really like them that much though, we went for the support band.

Ive seen them Cardiff December `96, Manic Millennium 2000, a couple of years ago at Cardiff and hopefully be seeing them again this December in Cardiff again as well as that i seen a great tribute band back in `98 in London.

I still find it awkward at these concerts but its OK because everyone is pretty nice and friendly and i like it when there are loads of people that go to see THEM as apposed to just wanting to meet other people.
