Not sure if this one has been done yet, so here goes:

It is said that it is more common to find AS in people with red hair, so vote and lets see.

After your vote, say if you have AS and what you see your hair colour as

Ok, I will go first, I am a natural red head and have AS.

Me = suspected autism, brown/red hair
Son = confirmed autism, same

What are the hair colour percentages in the general population?

Light brown, almost blond.

I didn't do this quite right really when I think about it, I should have added the hair colours with AS too to the poll. Oh well

As to hair population numbers, reds are about 5% and apparently us redheads will become extinct since our hair colour gene is recessive and we are dispersing and breeding with darker hair colours more now.

My natural color changes. Up until age nine, my hair was extremely light blonde, then it was dark blonde, but withen the last two years, I'm starting to become a bit of a red-head but still with dark blonde.

It will depend on how you define red how large the prevalence of red-hair color in a predominantly Caucasian population is. If you group red with auburn, prevalence in NTs is around 9-10% and it is 1-2% higher for Aspies.

Besides, you need several thousand answers to get statistical significance on this issue.

Daughter --Auburn- , going in for evaluation. appears to be very mild HFA
Dad -- Red being replaced by white-- , Dianosed with ADD/ADHD. Self DX of AS, Duh...
