The rule that say if I have sex with YOU then I have to screw your friends and whoever else you know.

Does this rule apply to both straight men, and to straight women?

Are you saying that if Joe has sex with Jane - that its his duty to have sex with all of Janes girlfriends too?

And no, I haven't encountered any rule like that.

I’m saying that if two people are dating the both male and female daters will be eyeing up each others friends, sometimes sleeping with them…sometimes looking for their next partner.

Right, it's not a rule, though maybe it's a way of life in some circles I personally wouldn't want to be very involved in. Last time I looked, I got the impression that a lot of people have a fairly high regard for fidelity. I remember hearing a counsellor say to somebody who wasn't being faithful at all that there was nothing absolutely wrong with that but that most people find it tends to make life rather complicated. My own experiences seem to bear that out, though it was a very long time ago.

Maybe you`ve been watching too many reality, big brother type shows that deliberately encourage this type of behaviour for ratings.

Not saying it doesnt go on in real life but certainly not a rule or acceptable to most people

It depends what you mean by a problem. I think your previous remark risks doing more harm than good. I think it could have been expressed more kindly and yet remained just as firm. But I admit it's not an easy skill, as your response to my remark seems to demonstrate - apparently all I've managed to do is raise your heckles, which wasn't my purpose at all.
