Seems like the classically autistic members stopped posting

The active WP membership seems to have shifted.

The forum has become inactive lately, period.

Except for PPR, as people seem to gain some sort of thrill and excitement out of arguing about Donald Trump.

And the seemingly obligatory incel threads in L&D.

It's all Donald Trump's fault that no body loves me.

Every time I check "View Posts Since Last Visit", most of it is "Count to 1000" type threads, or political threads.

But yes, forums all over have come into huge decline since social networking became popular.

The "what time is it where you are?" sort of threads annoy me. So boring.



But most people on WP complain about Facebook and Instagram and other popular social media sites, so I'd have thought autism forums would still be more popular or useful among the autistic community.
I use Facebook all the time but I still visit WP all the time too. I don't think I will ever stop using this site.

I don't use the "View Posts Since Last Visit" feature.

I just go to the main page, then go to whichever sub-forum I'm in the mood for, and then look at the most recently-updated threads in that sub-forum. Thus I almost never see "Count to 1000" type threads, because I almost never visit whichever sub-forum they're in. And I see political threads when I am in the mood to discuss politics, but not at other times.


Perhaps so, but WP is still popular enough to take up way too much of my time if I'm not careful to limit my time here.

a pity as this place has so much potential to link us like-minded souls together.

I think another forum has more classically autistic members, but after seeing the admin be a prick to people I don't use it.

Twitter is a cesspit of bullying and extremist attention seeking views so avoid it.

This is built in and prob because comment Tweets have to fit into a severely limited size so those who make them often do without normal politeness referring to relevant grey areas to post something direct, attention seeking and provocative.

At WP there are Moderators that ban personal insults which are the last resort for those who loose the argument.

Because of this debates and views stand up on evidence and merit no one gets the get out clause of ****off you don’t know what your talking about, but has to give why their view is better.
