Yesterday, Saturday, July 9, 2005, I got up at about 4:50 P.M. C.D.T. I have not slept since because I am trying to fix my sleep schedule that has been upset through staying up late on these lazy summer nights. It is now Sunday, July 10, 2005, 11:20 A.M. C.D.T. I intend not to go to bed before 8:00 P.M. tonight at the earliest, preferably between 9:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. My question to WrongPlanet.net is, can I make it?

Greetings from Delta Bravo Chad Enigma! I have reached the twenty-four-hour point. From here in, there's no turning back!

Good luck, I do the same every so often. With enough caffeine it should be easy enough. I usually have some movies lined up to keep me going, it's easy to become bored and dozy and just give up and go to bed. Then again watching loads of films are usually the reason I mess up my sleep pattern in the first place.

Wish you the best of luck...

<--- Would do the same thing on ocassion to re-sync sleeping pattern.

Although I would end up only sleeping for about four hours and I would be stuck at sqaure one.

Speaking of lack of sleep, in 1989 an italian women isolated herself in a cave for four months to study what happens when the body has no external cues for regulating sleeping.

Her days got longer and longer, by the end of her experiment, her "days" were 44 hours long.

Wow, that's interesting Scoots. I'd love to see how crazed she was after 44 days.

Good Luck - I know I wouldn't be able to make it.

That's interesting. Goes to show how important external environments are to the creatures of this world.
