Hello everyone,

I don t really know where to post this but I am quite desperate to get a situation fixed here.

A long time ago I made and account here, foolishly using my online nickname that I use for other sites.

I only posted one thing, but because of this one post, my diagnose is visible for everybody.

I emailed this Alex multiple times according to this problem, but he never replied, instead he blocked me from being able to log in to my first account.

I simply want the post to be deleted, it was just a 'hello I am..' post, nothing that wil disrupt the forum if it gets deleted.

However, instead of deleting the post, I see this site managed to make the post the FIRST RESULT when you search my old username in google. This used to be on the fourth or fifth page in the results a few months ago.

I can not believe this is how the administrator deals with those issues an quite ironic for a site 'supporting' autistic people. Now this annoying post wil be the first search result on google for the rest of eternity if I have to believe this site here. Why would anyone want that?

Just delete the post I am talking about. This is giving me a lot of stress. Why does the administrator has to be so stubborn?

I would also be quite ironic if this post got deleted, because the whole situation was created by the fact that no post can be deleted here on the forum....

I am sure I am not the only one in this situation.

Thanks.

Alex founded the WrongPlanet website, but he's only here very occasionally and doesn't provide technical support. If you go to the main WrongPlanet Forums page (here: https://wrongplanet.net/forums/) near the very bottom you'll see a section with the heading "Administration". The first link under it is: "WrongPlanet.net discussion" which takes you here: viewforum.php?f=13

There you'll find support information, including topics like: "Closing Your WrongPlanet Account"
That topic includes the following:
"In extreme cases, and at the moderators discretion, one or two posts may be edited to remove personal or sensitive information from members posts. For example if a member has disclosed their real name. However, since we can only do this one post at a time, don't expect us to edit more than a couple of your posts."

It sounds like the suggested approach is to send a private message to one of the site moderators.

Yeah, just contact a moderator and be concise and polite about it (hint: don't rant about Alex, it's not the moderators' fault and they have no influence on how this place is run)

This thread has been linked into the Moderator section, as soon as it's seen they will hopefully be able to edit your

other post of your info.

No this site is not a joke. I can see why your diagnosis being out there could be worrying and stressing you out but

you went about sorting things in the worst way possible. I expect Alex gets a lot of emails. Should have just posted

here again and said 'hey, how do I sort this please'

Thanks for the replies.

I have gotten a message from a mod, he will delete the post I hope.

I did not want to come off as disrespectful, but I understand the nickname was not that positive. I was just shocked to see my old post had climbed up to the first page on google, after 7 years. That kinda triggered me.

No hard feelings,

:)

I'm trying to upload a new profile picture just based on how I feel this very much missed and is making me feel like I'm not good enough because my PIN number of pixels it I can upload it and I really want to because it expressed as how I'm feeling right now and I'm so grateful that I have friends who know my name and I can put up whatever City Avatar I want and it'll just be okay.
