Hi there,

I'm investigating the possibility of getting an assessment done privately in London or surrounding areas.

I have scoured the pages of the national autistic society, and I think a few pages of google, too.

Can anyone point me in the direction of any I may not yet be aware of?

Especially if anyone has good/bad personal experiences with any providers, please do tell!

Also if anyone is interested to hear about what I have found so far, do ask!

Thank you!

You’ll probably know this already, but South East London is the place to go, generally speaking.

The weighting list for SLAM is extremely long so forget it. But there’s the Lorna Wing Centre in Bromley and the South London Psychology Partnership in Crystal Palace (though be cautious around the latter’s “natural therapies” - unlikely to be harmful, but not necessarily efficacious). Both have pretty good reputations for diagnosing autistic women.
