Even I am suspicious that both of my parents might have ASD.

My dad told me that he has sensory issues, and I see him have restricted interests and repetitive behaviors most of the time, and loves routine. I came into conclusion that he was like that from early childhood, but his social skills is much better.

My mom also has sensory issues, and my grandmother told me that she has milder problems with socializing with some men, and gets very angry when her routine changes.

My brother has Broad Autism Phenotype, he plays with his sensory toy and reacts badly when his routine changes, but to a milder degree. My brother's symptoms is so mild, it's mild to the point where he is in the army.

My brother could have ASD, but he is developed to the point where he is joining the army.

It's geneticely inherited.

My biological family has the BAP, too.
My little brother is obsessed with trains, so he's got the diagnosis.
My bio dad's obsessed with motorcycles... but no one dares to call a biker autistic.

That makes sense.

The autism doesn't define the person.

The whole person defines the person.

Please don't encourage those members of your family to seek a diagnosis if they don't want to seek a diagnosis.

I won't. I had this conversation with my dad and he said that it's possible, but he told me that he is so confused, because his him (my dad), his wife (my mom) and my brother have been without ASD diagnosis for long time, that they live a normal life. My dad told me that my family would get tested for ASD, that is only they think they really need that diagnosis, especially when they lived a long normal life.

I think many of my family members have been (deceased ones) or are (siblings, cousins, other living relatives) autistic. It really explains a lot!

That is what I am coming to conclusion about.
