I've been told i'm a bad driver. But these people (there are multiple) that tell me this have also all been in at least one accident, some more than one. I've never been in one and point this out everytime. All the close calls were other people's fault and my quick reaction was what avoided it.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the problems with seeing 'the big picture'.

Yes.

Sometimes I even scare myself driving =/ I have a hard time paying attention to traffic/pedestrians/signs, things like that...especially if it's raining/snowing/dark out.

I let other people drive my car as often as possible ;)

I can't tell left from right and my spacial awareness is pretty much non-existent. I would not trust myself to drive, hence why I don't ;)

Just kidding, if your not sure you should take a professional drivers course,

Despite the fact that I'm a pretty safe driver, I've heard a lot of "bad driver" comments. As a teenager, the most common phrase heard in my car was "We're all gonna die!! !"
Fun.

My old driving instructor told me that I would never learn to drive.

He could be right. My spatial awareness and depth perception are appalling, and I often end up driving in the middle of the road. There is a chance that I might pass my test with my new instructor, though, so only then will people be able to say I'm a bad driver.

My sister says I drive like I'm trying out for nascar.

But yet... in 7 years I've never been in an accident. Cept for intentionally backing into old neighbours car... he couldn't figure out how to keep the half back of his ass of the car out of the bloody road. He quit parking half into the street after that.

But sis was in a nice accident with only learners permit. She took my grandmas car over a curb and about 2 inches from a brick wall. 5,000 dollars later, grandma has her car back... :P

And I only got a license less than a year ago... so I had to be pretty damned decent to avoid the cops! Had to get to school somehow... :P

I never drove a car until I took driver's education at age 17. I scared the crap out of my teacher. I got my first car at age 19. The first year I had it, I caused a huge wreck without even realizing it (my car wasn't one of the cars involved). I also dented someone's car door in a parking lot. The second year I had it, it was totaled in another wreck (which wasn't my fault this time) in which I was hospitalized with broken bones and so traumatized by the experience that I lost all confidence in my ability to drive, and refused to do so for over six months after I recovered from my injuries. After I eventually was coaxed back into driving (because people got tired of driving me to college), my second car was involved in several minor accidents, but none with injuries. By the time I gave it to somebody else, it had scratches and dents everywhere, and no hubcaps left. My third car has lost all its hubcaps already, but it hasn't been in any accidents caused by me yet, so I guess I'm gradually improving? :)

i used to worry if i was staying in the middle of the lane.. im very anal about being in the middle of the lane.. if i drive, i quickly correct it.. at night when driving on a skinny road with oncoming traffic, i tend to push to the right shoulder to not accidentally hit..

nowadays, im told i should be a race car driver, because of my quick reflexes and excellent control..
