I already have some earplugs for work, thinking about buying a set of headphones.

I have some with that fake leather stuff on them. They're nice and comfy but they make my head head up like it's on fire. They don't get hot but my head and ears do. Then my ears get plugged because the heat warms up everything that's going on in my eardrums. I kid you not. I thought I was crazy but I googled and it's a common problem, including the ear plugging. Most people said to get the ones that are fake velour, which sounds really cringey to me and I can't even imagine it. My ears have been so plugged for about four days that I'm dizzy and I had to take a break from wearing them. I've tried everything to pop my ears but it's not working.

That's my very weird recommendation.

My ears also get plugged a lot, and i also suspect it is because i am wearing headphones all the time.

I also need noise cancelling ones though since my workplace is too noisy

I found a pair on Amazon that can be used for shooting range for $15. Is this good or do I need to spend a little more for better quality?

Are they only for NC or do you want them for music too?

I forgot to say that mine are always playing music, so the hot-head thing might be related in part to the sound waves.

If they're only for NC I'm not sure about price: quality.

If they're Amazon, just double check they can be returned for free if you don't like them.

I like my Bose over-the-ear headphones (Quiet Comfort model line). Just got a pair for my daughter and she likes them. Kind of expensive.

The Sennheiser cx300ii works pretty well for me. Just passive noise cancelling though:

I've been using a set from monoprice for years, the fake leather had deteriorated, but they still do a fine job. I can't recall how much they were, but not that expensive.
