Forgive me for writing this while being drunk.

Other than the weaker drinks like beer, wine, Whiskey is much stronger and can lead to drunkeness even with a short amount of the drink. Medications and Whiskey dont work together well, so they are often used separately, but generally speaking, Whiskey can have both negative and positive effects. Beer is weaker and requires an entire bottle or can to achieve the same effects, as you know.

So the question is, how did alcoholic drinks affect you as an autism spectrum disorder person, and did the different drinks have different effects, or beer and whiskey, had same effects, for example?

Thank you.

I love whiskey.
I don't drink very often at all, but if I do I'll take a Whiskey Sour please. Double.

I seldom finish a drink.
I get just as tipsy as any other person. No more, no less.

I don't drive if I drink, and I don't overdo it to the point of making bad choices.

There's quite a bit of alcohol in my house but it mostly belongs to my kids.
I get a bottle or two for Christmas (usually Bailey's) and they last me all year.
A bottle of Glenfiddich or Jack Daniels can last me two years, easily.

I don't drink as a social lubricant since I don't do social things.
If I have a drink it's because it tastes good, and I want to relax a bit.

Have you ever tried Whiskey with Benzodiazepines?

You and my crazy buddy ought to become pen pals. He is an alcoholic and a substence abuser, from an alcoholic family.

He is the son of drug abusing doctor. He himself is dyslexic and has trouble remembering his own phone number, but...knows every pill in the physician's desk reference, and every size each pill comes (what milligram doses they make it in). Dictates to doctors what to prescribe HIM.

And knows about every kind of malt liquor and fortified wine. The effects of combining pills with alcohol and knows every trend in drugs. Over and under the counter.

My eyes glaze over when he talks about this s**t. But hey...you and he could converse like crazy.

I don’t do alcoholic drinks. First, I’m a type 2 diabetic, dependant on 3 forms of insulin (novolin-r, levemir and trulicity). 2. Alcoholism runs on my mom’s side of the family. I saw firsthand, while growing up how badly mom was abused.

No, I doubt it.
I very rarely ever take Benzos because they make me really depressed.
I might take about five a year? (The lowest dose of Ativan).

My limited experience of alcohol has been AFAIK much like anybody else's, except that I possibly more readily get ill from overdoing it, and I've never been able to get anything like as addicted to it as many people do.

I seem to have a pretty good tolerance, as I can drink two cans of beers and don't even get tipsy.
