I don't have Asperger's, but I have a friend that does. And so I come here often to read and learn as much as I can.

Anyway, I purchased a CD quite a few months ago, basically for just one song. It's one of those CD's that you like more and more as you listen to it more and more.

In the past couple months, as I listen to it, I often think the songs were written by someone with Asperger's. Or I should say that it kind of goes along with the friend that I know.

Granted not every song is great. But they do "grow on you" the longer you listen.

The CD is the newer one by 'Blue October' called Foiled.

Does anyone have this CD?

If you have listened to the whole CD a few times, do you agree?

Appalachian Dulcimer quintet, I believe. . . mid 1800's isolated community West Virginian Band still singing old English folks songs, IIRC

Their genre varies. But the song "Hate Me" was played on Top 40 stations for quite some time. I think they are considered Alternative Rock.......Certainly not "Appalachian Dulcimer quintet, mid 1800's isolated community West Virginian Band still singing old English folks songs"..... :D

One of my friends had the CD and I listened to a few songs. Some of the songs reminded me a bit of Perter Gabriel so I went out and got the CD.

I quite like their song "Into the Ocean", but beyond that I haven't really heard any of their songs (heard "Hate Me", and didn't really care for it).

"Hate Me," makes me want to take the band, tie them to stakes, and hit them 'til they stop moving (and more importantly, 'til they stop making music). It grates, it grates!

Yeh, I think those are the only 2 songs that they play on the radio. 'Hate Me' is okay, nothing great, but that song isn't really why I bought the CD. After awhile, that song kinda gets old. Many times I will just skip over it while listening to the whole album.

I don't have this CD.

The lead singer of The Vines (great Aussie Band) has Asperger's.
