I was watching "Tails of Valor," a TV show about how animals bring joy and service to disabled or otherwise challenged people. Today's story focused on "Cora," age 9, and the narrator literally said (this isn't word for word, but it's pretty close), "Cora had ADHD and Asperger's, and because of that, she was placed in foster care at three days old."

Um, hello? Since when are three-day-old infants determined to have ADHD and Asperger's (mild autism)?

I believe the story took place in the UK. What, a newborn didn't give eye contact? Newborn's can barely see because their eyes haven't developed for the brightness outside the womb. What, newborn wasn't yet talking? Newborn was fidgety and couldn't concentrate?

I'm wondering if the narrative was meant to say "three YEARS." If that's the case, then someone really flubbed up.

I'd be tempted to contact the producer and ask WTF.

If only I had his email. I've actually wanted to contact producers and directors or whatever for the incompetent way their shows are run, figuring they might be on Instagram. Occasionally I get lucky. For example I left a searing note on a narrator's IG page because his storytelling voice sounds ridiculous, erratic and gimmicky. It was easy to find him because his name isn't common, and the IG account said he was a film storyteller.

But usually, the name of the person to contact is too common and I won't bother looking them up. Sometimes there's also multiple producters or several directors, and I don't know who'd be the right one.

Anyways, my understanding is that one needs to be at least two years old for an assessment.
