I can't even be with one person for that length of time.
I hide from my adult children in my own house.
We're all autistic and we all stay in our rooms, separate and sequestered.
Most of our conversations are electronic.
We don't eat together or watch TV.
It works for us to keep to ourselves.
If I have to be around others I don't manage well.
When I go to my mum's for Christmas dinner I end up lying on the floor.
Everyone else is at the dining table and I'm gasping for air, nonverbal.
Sometimes I'll make grunting sounds like a cavewoman.
I'm the life of the party.
People have given up trying to get me to act like a normal person.
I'm really glad.
