I see myself as an actor first.

I try on different roles in different situations..

"generosity in masquerades"- line from my famous Infinity Mirror poem.

I don't usually like poetry, but I enjoyed that.
The evoked picture is vivid, but it's lack of cadence would make it difficult to sing.
(Music is a special interest)

In my teens and early 20s I loved hitchhiking, sometimes to get somewhere cheaply, but often because each ride was an opportunity to act... To be someone else... To try different personalities. I could test people's reactions to different ways of presenting myself and different communication styles.
It was basically my masking test-bed.
I'd often arrive at my destination, then turn around and hitch back.

I am incapable of being an actor. I am guileless and have to always be myself, I don't know how to be any other way. I find it hard to know what to say or to show myself and tend to be quiet and reserved.

Nice poem!

Not sure. A lot of my behaviour is probably just repeating what I've seen others do, but mostly I'll only repeat it only if it impresses me personally as a good way of saying or doing a thing. It's not about getting results regardless, it's about feeling that if I were on the receiving end, I'd like it. When I do repeat behaviour that I don't really approve of, just to please others, I feel I'm letting myself down, and I hope I don't do that much.

I guess you could say that I'm a pretty good actor. I was able to keep secrets for three decades of my life.

I'm a shape shifter
At Poe's masquerade
Hiding both face and mind
All free for you to draw
I'm a shape shifter
What else should I be?
Please don't take off my mask
Revealing dark
