hmmm... in the past I was called HFA, if I go back after not being evaluated in 16 years, thatll change to aspie of course, as I have a normal to above average IQ (im assuming this cause I always did good in school and learned to blend in so well, actually had a phycologist tell me she thought i may have a better then average IQ, but without the actual test, that means nothing)
School performance and IQ don't always have a great correlation. Some DUMB people do GREAT at school, and some smart people may not do well.
As for me? I'm smart. People that know me never doubt it, and IQ tests show it. I DID start out in school doing VERY well, even with no effort. I actually passed the first few grades because of my tests. I never did any homework, so they had to think about it! Towards the end though, I did worse. I was bored and just lacked any real desire. Still, my job is based on one of my main interests, and everyone is astounded how well I do. They sell me as THE BEST, and nobody is dissapointed.
Still, IQ isn't supposed to be the sole determinant for AS. Some have a HIGH IQ and are considered HFA, and some have a far lower IQ and are considered AS.
