Have you ever developed stims that correlate with something that happened in your life?

Recently, I had my ear drained out after it was clogged for months. I started developing stims such as shaking my hands near my ears to hear my fingers knock against each other, cracking my knuckles next to my ears, and now I cover my ears whenever a thought or emotion is intense, whether it be good or bad.

Absolutely, and like my struggle with OCD it always mutates. Like a creative work of art driven to survive in an overwhelming world.

I have started doing a little backwards leg kick when irritated. Started at my workplace.

I noticed one of my coworkers, who has indicated that she is or may be neurodivergent, does the same thing.

I rock back and forth from time to time.
