How much caffeine do y'all drink before you get any effects or benefits?

I have never gotten anything from caffeine, unless in extreme distress and at very high doses. I could drink a Monster and go straight to bed afterwards. However, when I am in extreme distress, drinking a Monster will help me to calm down and regulate myself.

I mentioned this to a professional and they said it's related to being on the spectrum?

I rely on my 3 cups of coffee every morning, it seems to help me think more clearly, somehow helps my processing. I have tried to quit several times, but hate the way I feel without it. Some antihistamines work well for me as well, but the ones that work best raise my blood pressure. I have no idea if I am ADD, but it would not surprise me.

In large doses, it just makes me sleepy. In frequent small doses, it helps me focus.

Coffee seems to make me more alert without increasing anxiety too much.

Energy drinks just make me anxious and that negates any benefit of their mental stimulation for me.

I don't get any real benefit from caffeine.
I get varying ranges of symptoms, none are helpful.

It never helps me more alert, focused or stay awake.
It never helped me functioned -- it just gave me symptoms that I had to ignore among others outside caffeine intake.

More like... A restless zombie. Or an easily aggravated person.
Or, makes me feel like I skipped an entire night of sleep and went straight to insomnia.

And I only drink for the taste, not the kick or effects.
It's frustrating, having to find decaf and figuring how to get certain flavors because there were no premixed decaf.

Teas are a no go. It's not any better, and sometimes it's worse than taking 2-3 cups of coffee.

And having to stop taking carbonated drinks.

I past through withdrawal years ago.
Dealt with it for 2-3 weeks. It's nothing in comparison of whatever I've been dealing the whole time.

I get high off just one cup of coffee and I find myself acting up. I post crazy things making me seem tougher than I am. I also mix avatars because I don't want to face my reality. I try to look groovy instead of admitting that I'm a war supporter who likes Germany and the 40s. Coffee clouds my perception of reality and I act like I'm in my 20s.

I don't drink coffee or tea. Mostly because they bother my stomach. But I do think they keep me up, too. It's not easy for me to fall asleep so I don't need any stimulant. Generally speaking I have enough energy to last all day and almost never feel drowsy, so there's no need for caffeine either.

I do drink chamomile tea and other "relaxing" herbs. They actually boost my mood and performance.

I can't stand the taste of coffee so I never drink it. Even with a lot of cream and sugar, they mask the taste a bit but there is still that terrible coffee taste that they don't disguise completely. (Although I love the smell of coffee.)

I drink tea once in a while, but I don't notice any effect from it, but I think it has a lot less caffeine than coffee. I also like my tea pretty weak.
