How do you like your mattress to be, hard or soft?
I had a really soft mattress and was really comfy, but my brother and cousin where fighting on my bed, and they broke it :( so yesterday i got a new bed, and the mattress is really hard, i got a quilt and a really thick feather thing and put them under my sheet, i thought after that that it would be comfy i got back into bed and i was tossing and turning for hours before getting to sleep. i want my old bed back :( lol

I want to sleep in a hammock... like a pirate. Where does that fit.

...and while on their ships, they sleep in hammocks. In the age of sail most crewmen and lower-ranking officers (or whatever the equivalent term on civilian ships is) did sleep in hammocks, while the higher ranking ones generally had beds and their own quarters.

Anyway, I much prefer a soft mattress.

Some of the best sleep I have had was sleeping on the concrete floor with a couple of blankets laid out flat for padding. It does wonders for stretching and realigning your spine.

I actually like sleeping bags better than anything.

I like "hard" beds. I hate certain hotels and motels that have beds so soft I wake up with a bad back the next morning. Sleeping in a Day's Inn bed made me physically ill.

I want a bed firm enough to stand a full glass of water on without spilling when you sit down, but not so hard that it feels like you're sleeping on the dinner table.

I used to not care, now I just like a mix... variety, moderation, whatever. I like sleeping on soft beds that you can sink and almost get trapped in, I like sleeping on floors, I like sleeping on tables, I like sleeping on mattresses and mats and rugs and carpets and couches and cots and hammocks and lawn chairs and sand and grass and water beds and inflatable beds on the water. :)
