TV alpha waves > http://dieoff.org/page24.htm

TV increases Alpha waves.

"Flicking on the TV, Krugman began monitoring the brain-waves of the subject What he found through repeated trials was that within about thirty seconds, the brain-waves switched from predominantly beta waves, indicating alert and conscious attention, to predominantly alpha waves, indicating an unfocused, receptive lack of attention: the state of aimless fantasy and daydreaming below the threshold of consciousness “

IF TV represses critical by creasing Alpha waves, isn’t that good for an Aspie who wants to be more NT like and reduce critical thinking.

If estimates of inattention and hyperactivity are about 75% comorbid with aspergers as Tony Atwood suggest that indicates most aspies would have excessive theta wave production. Alpha would be an improvement. :)

Do you actually have to "watch" the TV or just be near the waves?Seems like the content of what you are watching would have some inpact of what wave is created.Would you get the same result watching "American Idol" as watching "The Universe"<(awsome show).

Alpha waves are a type of brain wave, like a pulse of sort. The activity of TV watching would in this case change your brain's "pulse," it's not the television generating any sort of alpha radiation (which would be bad).
