A girl that likes her hair loose, but has to have her hair tied tight to invent things! She LOVES inventing things.

A boy that has read LOTS of books, has a seemingly photographic memory, and can recall applicable trivia. He just LOVES reading.

A baby girl that LOVES to bite, but does it judiciously, created her own language, and seems to be somewhat smart even though she seems a bit dumb.

ALL seem somewhat reclusive having no friends besides themselves, and just want to be left alone. Their entire family seems odd and loves travelling and learning things. Outside of the few having kids, all the members seem to be loaners.

Maybe I shouldn't even bring this up, as one of their family members, jim carreys main character, is almost a CHO type. At least THAT character had a motive, a plan, and executed it well. He almost got away with it. So even HE seems more AS than CHO.

If you haven't figured it out, I am talking about the kids on lemony snickets a series of unfortunate events.

I figured we might as well discuss these guys, since they are perhaps the only ones that haven't been.

BTW I hope you realize this is all in jest!

I have only read the first couple of chapters of the first book, "The Bad Beginning," but yes, the characters do have a lot of AS traits. I am very close in personality to the boy, the bookish type who likes to memorize facts. I think the books sound fascinating. I'd rather read the books than see the movie, because I don't like Jim Carrey.

SAME HERE! I have NEVER paid to see a movie with jim carrey in it! Still, I saw it on TV.

BTW I think I am like ALL of them. Like the older girl, I like being comfortable and left to my own to do anything and can be inventive. Like the boy, I have read, and read a lot of books and have an encyclopedic memory. Like the younger girl, I may just pretend I can't communicate, communicate by example, or in subtle ways, and can be deceptively smart.

I can relate to needing your hair tied back tight. My hair ties have to have the exact right amount of tension, otherwise it drives me nuts. As soon as one starts to stretch a bit, I retire it and get another one.

I don't know, maybe they have Aspergers, but I think it was just character development.

The style of the movie was nice, it looked like the beginning of the 20th century, but the little anomalies in it... the remote control to open and close the car for example. And there were no other people the children interacted with. That parents house would have been real fun to live in.

Talking about this movie... Did anyone read the books. Was it good reading? A
According to some websites it is also nice for adults to read (and since I enjoyed also the Chronicles of Narnia, except for the last part)

I recently finished the last in the Lemony Snicket series. I found the books very interesting.
