Here is the video:Laughing with the Disabled

News Story: Laughing with the Disabled

You may remember it, it caused quite a controversy a while back. It is a short film by an Australian PhD student, Michael Noonan. It is a film about two disabled people, Darren Magee and James Bradley - one has Asperger's syndrome and the other has a learning disability.

Gary MacLennan and John Hookham, both lecturers at the university, protested over the video and they were suspended as a result - they had not seen the video.

Let me know what you think of it. Were Darren Magee and James Bradley taken advantage of, where they laughed at? Was it offensive or not? I can't see it because WMP doesn't work on my computer :(.

I don't think it was offensive at all. But I do think it is a waste of film I watched half of it I thought there was too much talk and it wasn't funny but I don't find it offensive in fact it show a reality what people need to see.

I don't laugh at the disabled.

I don't even show sympathy, as it lowers my self-esteem to absolute zero.
