esp lately, been doing the minimum.

esp on days off work.

i do not understand how my old man found the time, energy, and skill, & $$$ to build an entire f*****g patio in the house. his diploma says "associate's degree, electrical engineering".

i've been barely keeping up with: laundry, garbage, dishes, doing s**t my sister told me to do. bowel movements.

everything takes so much f*****g effort s**t

apathetic

not worth the energy

Two thirds of my week is spent 'doing nothing'.

That is how it may appear to anyone observing me I suppose.

However, I am thinking, daydreaming, reflecting and planning (mainly artwork).

I recommend it.

I get bored if I don't have mental challenges to occupy my mind, and the boredom drives me to find something at least vaguely interesting to do, something that might get me something I'd like. Some of the projects I take on are pretty trivial, like how to shave a couple of minutes off the time it takes me to make breakfast, but it kind of works for me.

I'm very rarely too depressed to try for some goal or other, though like I say, the goals can be pretty trivial. I just think that if a person is trying to achieve something, however small, it keeps depression at bay. I guess it depends how strong a hold the depression has on a person though. It's probably a bit of a vicious cycle. It can be hard for a very depressed person to think of anything worth doing. And being burned out doesn't help.
