I find that doing laundery is very enjoyable for me. Especially if I do it all on my own. I enjoy the heavy work of moving the baskets to the washer and unloading the washer. I also enjoy timing myself as I fold each load after I get them out of the dryer. The more loads that I do and the more hours that I put in, the more satisfied I feel. I also feel this high after I finish folding the last load. I like the warmth of the towels and clothes as I hold them close to my body as well. Does anybody else love to do laundery?

As a kid I hated laundry time. Both our old washer and dryer had buzzers on them, and those buzzers were painfuly loud to me when they went off.

I don't mind doing laundry, I'd rather do that then any other household chore.

This is funny - when I first moved into this house I bought an new washer and dryer and the first day I was doing laundry I also had a major plumbing problem with my air conditioner so I had to get a 24 hour plumber out to fix it since it was spewing water all over my entryway - well, about the time he was showing me what the problem was, the buzzer on the dryer went off - now, I'm very territorial, so I was very much on edge from changing territories and generally freaked out - so the buzzer went off and I jumped about six feet streight up in the air and said something to the effect of 'What in the *%$@# was that?!' and he looked at me like I was insane . . .
I had a similar experience when I put a heat sensitive smoke detector in my kitchen - right in the line of where the heat goes when I open my oven - I've since moved it - but the first time I set that off I screamed words at it that no one should know while I was trying to shut it off . . .

I do the laundry. The kids all have chores to do, but ONLY I do the laundry. For some reason I enjoy sorting it into dark and light, putting it in and out of the washer and dryer, then sorting the clean clothes, folding everything into separate, neat piles for each person, and putting everything away neatly and properly in the correct drawer in each person's room.

If I was 5 years old, I'd be lining up little cars in color order. Since I'm 41, I have to satisfy that little bit of Aspieness by micromanaging the laundry and arranging my closet in particular order.

By the way, I had quite an extensive collection of those little cars when I was a kid... pretty weird for a girl, huh?

I started doing laundry on my own recently. The work is fine, but the buzzer is painfully loud.

I love doing the laundry, even though the machines are coin-operated where I am.

I hate doing laundry! I've always lived either in my parents' house or in dorms/apartments with a laundry room, so I always go downstairs to put a load in and get stressed out about remembering when to go pick it up. I also get really irritated about the fact that the dryer has a much longer cycle than the washer, which creates a bottleneck in the clothes washing process.

I don't do laundry in my house, not even with my own clothes. I never really learned how to do it. My mom still does all the laundry in the house. I do help her and I do hang the clothes on the line and through anything that's needed to be dried faster in the dryer but that's about it. Most of my clothes for work go to the cleaners since they need to be ironed or pressed or even dry cleaned.

When I lived in an apartment with a common laundry, I didn't like having to lug my clothes to and from the laundry, and also having to go and switch the clothing from the washer to the dryer. I'm in my own place now, and I like the fact that I have a washer/dryer, and I just do everything when it needs doing. If I notice that I'm running low on whites, I run a load through and so on.

Oh man, I just did laundry at the airforce base near me and it took nearly all day, it was so boring! One of my job assessors took me there to try it out :)

I like doing laundry alright. Unfortunately my washer and dryer are in the basement, so I often forget to do it.

I used to do laundry all the time when I was a kid starting at age 10. But I don't do it much anymore because my aunt always does it.
