Here is an interesting article about Dan Aykroyd, who talks about his various interests, especially UFOs. The article also mentions that he was diagnosed with AS as a child - in the 50-60's(!). But AS was not known in US the late 50's - early 60's.

Emm...well what seems to be undisputed...he was diagnosed with OCD and tourette's syndrome as a child and it seems likely (I think) that while writing his autobiography a few years ago he realised that AS would have be a more accurate retrospective diagnosis.

I really enjoyed the article -- thanks for providing the link.

That Akroyd is a particularly likeable guy. I love how he has had this fantastic, 25 year marriage. Talk about a successful Aspie!

That is really strange that the article says he was diagnosed with AS back then. But then they probably just got it wrong or simplified it-especially since the whole article has a kind of flippant air about it.

Funny...one of the major obsessions of my very AS-seeming mom has been UFO's.
