Was it harder for you as a child like me? Does it bother you like it does to me? Whats your thoughts on change?

I hate change too but the minor ones don't bother me. Sometimes I like changes such as Portland is putting in a new light rail system and I love it. It will make our city even more better.

I have also learned to be flexible because I don't listen to people anymore. Like my boyfriend tells me he is going to call me. I always doubt it and when he does call, it makes my day. When someone says "lets do this" Lets do that" I always doubt it.

I despise changes in plans (as it takes me a week to figure out how to work something planned into my routine sometimes), and those things always come last minute. Usually I get really frustrated and people think I am mad at THEM for it, but I'm not... I just don't like the sudden change.

I don't mind change in things I look at every day-sometimes I rearrange the furniture in my house just for fun. I hate it if somebody else does it though.

Right now I'm getting ready to trade bedrooms with the kiddos (since they have more stuff and my current room is big enough to hold it all), but I've been postponing it for a few months because I don't want to sort through all of my things... Sadly, I would rather move than to completely change rooms in a few hours, lol, as odd as it sounds. I suppose because a new place would be starting over (with furniture placement and such), and even though I like to rearrange furniture, it all still remains in the same room when it is done. This room change has really had me stressed out just thinking about it-I'm scared to see how I adjust once it happens, lol.

There was this one day, back in 2005 that I had to deal with both a change and a surprise, both on the same day. I won't go into the details. Let's just say that the whole dark package put a damper on my travel plans.

Change is inevitable. Things are always changing, even if they're changing to the same thing.
I need structure in my day to day life or else I end up happily squandering my days away on the computer or reading books and slowly being hypnotised by the television, all of which I'm trying to fight since they are not the most productive activities I can think of.

it is not exclusive to ocd,it's a comon Kanners/classic autism trait to be very against change and routine led,is a lot more obvious than in aspergers,age1600 has kanners autism [correct am if wrong age1600 but am sure that is what have read in post before].
as another kanners,am have never lost intensity in not coping with/inability to change, especially with routines, and changes that are small to some people are major issues to am,it's at it's worst when it's unpredictible change.

I have actually come to like change if it results in a better set of circumstances for me. However, if a change in plans occurs because of someone's poor planning, then it annoys me.

It all depends on what the change is--- if the change is a pay raise at work, i'll welcome it. But some changes, like being asked to perform a new job task, can get me worried pretty heavily.
There are some changes that, if I prepare for them, will turn out nicely or even be fun--- like my vacation last month. I like driving, so that was no problem. I had AAA make me out detailed maps and directions of our entire trip, had our hotels pre-booked, stayed with long-time friends mostly, and even had our food coupons to save $$$. Having AAA also was good in case something bad were to happen, like a flat tire. It was a great trip and the change in that case was good because it wasn't unexpected and I had time to prepare for it.
I don't really change things much in general, though--- i'm perfectly fine doing the same job every day and eating similar foods daily. If I want to change things up slightly, I'll take my Oldsmobile out for a spin. That's enough for me.

I like it when things change but there are some exceptions - I truly hate changes in my daily routine (however I'd like to get rid of this hatred) and I can't stand changes in my room - each item; my figurines, plush toys, photos and CDs have their places which are perfect for them.

Several years ago, I remember, I decided that I'd change a position of my books on my shelves but later I discovered that I didn't like it at all and my dislike for it was of such a high degree that I quickly started to restore my shelves to the previous state in spite of the fact that it was about midnight and I so terribly wanted to sleep.
