Especially in concerts. God, I want to take those people, take a hammer, and smash their fingers to a bloody pulp so they'll never again spoil other people's enjoyment with their inconsiderateness.

Hmm, maybe not the most reasonable reaction, there.

I hate the sound of plastic bags. I try really hard to not let it bother me but uggh. I know it's not the plastic bag's fault and the person sitting next to me so I just hold it in for the most part.

LOL @ *it's not the plastic bag's fault* - but - you'd THINK people would know that the noise grates and annoys....but noooooooooo, they continue the unwrapping, messing around in the polyurethene with nary a thought or care about the people climbing mental walls because of the racket they're making.

I've told people numerous times how much it annoys me. I feel guilty though because in their world it's like hearing the sweet sound of consumerism but to me it's like a nail running down a chalkboard.

I got it! That's what we do. We will bring a miniature chalkboard with us when shopping is involved. If they annoy us with plastic bags, we will run our nails down a chalkboard or use other sharp objects....just come prepared with earplugs!

LOL!

I've resigned myself. They won't change and I can't become more resilient - so I pack my ears with hefty wads of beeswax and it's almost heaven :) A tad bulky perhaps, but under the tresses who can tell. Unwrap, crinkle - go ahead - all I hear now is the precious sounds of silence. Yippee!

What kills me is the texture of merangue, or biting ice or something similar.
