I recently saw a CNN newscast looking for "heroes" who are individuals who have made a difference in people's lives. I want to
nominate Alex Plank, the creator of Wrongplanet and how it has brought all of us together in finding the support, friendships and
information we need in living with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome.

One recent CNN heroes episode was about a young man who started a website for amputees. That's nice...but there are far more
individuals with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome and the number of people seems to be growing every day as WrongPlanet
membership grows. We all live with the frustration and challenges of an "invisible" disability.

Here's the problem for me. I can't seem to complete the nomination form on the CNN website to nominate Alex. IT IS A SIMPLE
FORM FOUND AT: WWW.CNN.COM/HEROES

When I complete the form and hit the SUBMIT key, my computer gives me an ERROR message. Does anyone else believe that
Wrongplanet and Alex deserves this recognition for all he has done for us? We need to nominate Alex by the DEADLINE of
SEPTEMBER 30, 2007. The more nomination forms completed by WrongPlanet members on Alex's behalf, the more likely we can
get the recognition that Autism and Asperger's Syndrome deserves. Thanks everybody!

I'm all for giving thanks to WP. But, does everyone really want AS to get such publicity? One of the biggest problems related to AS is the potential for being easily ripped off or taken advantage of. If the general public catches on to that, it could be all the more difficult for us. Personally, I don't need anyone knowing about AS, other than myself and my psychologist.
