In my more enlightened moods, of which one is with me tonight, I would agree...but I have to add books to the equation.

And Japanese-style logic puzzles :P

and Harry Potter, and non-theistic Jewish meditative naturalistic spirituality, and microhousing, and yurts, and journalism in the Western Territories during the late 1800s-early 1900s. And anthropology above all.

And my mother. She matters a lot.

If its non-theistic its non-jewish.. More than likely its something they picked up and claimed it as theirs, as the people after them did so bluntly.

That's only true if you are Orthodox. I'm Reform/Reconstructionist; it's entirely possible to be Jewish and not have dogma about the specific nature of Hashem.

OK - Hashem - G-d the One - I feel - that is really what love is - it's the energy that flows down to us trickling into our every pore, molecule and that it's the Light that keeps us alive and happy. When I'm feeling separated and encased in this shell, it's hard to feel love or give it. Real hard. But that's where Mercy comes in. I feel that Hashem gives me love anyway - and knows how difficult it is. He sees how I live, my broken heart and how I can't seem to be happy no matter what I do. Maybe music and nature helps in moments. He's like waiting for my moment to burst through. If I could only ask one thing...that He send me some human angels to help me get through this time in particular. In Grace - He sent me some 4-legged ones that are sheer Beauty and Compassion. I just need to get through these next days without falling apart.

...and Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong (the old OLD Louis Armstrong, like, 1920's old)
