Every once in a while, when Im at my computer or whatever, seriously, I feel like theres nothin goin on up there, if you know what I mean. I just sort of space out with a blank and almost stoned feeling in my head, I get kind of tense too. ...Is this something I should be worrying about?
Normally, smoking or something more intense assures I wont get into this state of mind, but I generally want to stay away from that stuff.. Drinking iced tea helps I think too..
Maybe Im just understimmed.

The silence of your mind, deafening you. You are emptying your head of all the chatter and day-to-day worries. It is a form of meditation IMHO. Learn to control it, you still have all your facilities and memories. Maybe it is the mild autism. You can slip in and out of it if you try, drink lots of water. Hydrogen is the key. Your brain is not wired like the NT's, they don't understand. I can dream awake.

Check this page out. Pretty interesting stuff. Natural substances that enhance cognitive ability.

The subject title got my attention as I ordered some vinpocetine
a few days ago. Its a cerebral vasodilator. Which means it can improve blood flow in the brain.

I don't think it's meditation if she's tense though.

I think Labpet means that you are posting this on a board for people with ASD. Therefore being autistic is nothing new for you. It was tongue-in-cheek, hence the chosen emoticon.

I get that feeling too sometimes, although I attribute it to my sensitivity to bright light. In order to combat this I put my screen's background to black or blue, which relieves the feeling 95% of the time. However, the other 5% of the time is another story: only walking away from the computer, drugging myself up with Advil (for the tension headaches), and relaxing quietly while doing breathing exercises gets rid of the spacey, "where'd my thoughts go," feeling.

AS is SO close to autism in so many respects that it is considered a type of autism. Things like that have REDEFINED what autism is. I had a conversation with a woman just today and she agreed. Her daughter has what she recognizes as autism. Her daughter is smart, precocious, seems nice, etc... So autism shouldn't be seen as something necessarily bad. BTW I would say her daughter has AS. Right down to talking well EARLY.

BTW THE most popular and longest used, and most available vasodilator for the brain hasn't been mentioned. I may be LAUGHED AT, as it is SO old......

Ginko biloba

Still, it works and is proven.
