My father is a well known researcher (but now retired) in my contry. He was quite awfull to grow up with. My IQ isnt't at his level and I could never stand up to his demands. Today I´m quite sure he got high functional autism/Asperger. In my early adulthood I where diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I had a lot of other problems both home and at work, special social problems.

I always blaimed my problems on my fathers behaviour when I was growing up. I went to teraphy but I felt I couldn´t express my real thougts and feelings. It failt like and failure. Since some time I tried to diagnos my self on internet. I got a lot of "aspi-characteristics", but I also got some witch not Aspi at all (what I know). I am oversensativ to other people feelings. If I feel hostality I get very enxious and nervous. I'm quite good at "reading" people and guess there intentions. I think I got emphati. I'm escpecially good with children. I like to be among people as long as I don't need to be in the center. I have friends, but they are all a little bit special...

My most obvious aspi characteristics is that I'm completed lost and not intrested of small talk. I mostly intrestes are my work (I work with IT) and I love to speak about it. Most of my old friends have abandon me. Probably because I'm boring. I also get into things like this one: I'm I or I'm I not an aspi...

After test on internet I think I'm something between ADHD and Asperger. Non to 100%. Is there such a diagnos?

Is it possible I inherit some aspi-behavour of my father without having the diagnos?

I will soon meet a psycatrist to discuss this with. But I want to know as mpuch as possible in advance.

Yes it's possible to have traits without a diagnosis and it's possible to have several traits and be diagnosed with PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified) if there are enough traits across the three categories they look at for diagnosis.

If you want to have friends, do you make an effort to be kind and interested in what they are doing instead of only talking about what interests you? My brother has no interest in me personally and no sympathy for my putting up with him but he expects me to put up with him and is hurt if I don't. I think that makes it really hard for people to give without reciprocation.
