Just wondering what age people were when they got their first job.

For instance, I got my first job at 15, working in Hungry Jacks.

I realise this question is dependent upon a lot of factors, including the age you are allowed to work, in terms of the country in which you live, but I thought I'd ask as I am curious.

I had my first job bussing tables when i was eleven. My parents own a restaurant and five daughters. We all worked. It worked out well for them and for me. I am still in the restaurant business, just somewhere else.

Had a newspaper route at 14 and my first real job was at McDonald's at 16 (only made it through the three month trial period and got let go).

I got my first real job at 29, teaching junior college English. Before that, I never really worked. My main job was to go to school and get good grades.

I got my first job at 16, but it was very boring and thankless (like a lot of teenage jobs). My first office job, however, was at age 21, and it was much nicer.

I got my first job at the age of 16, being a cashier/stocker at petsmart, loved stocking and lining things up, but hated the cashier part haha.

If you don't count baby-sitting (age 13), then it would be age 15, when I started working part time as a page in my local library. My first full-time job (over 40 hours a week) was during the summer at Wendy's when I was 17.
