Yesterday we had a great meeting with my psychodrama group, and it was around 15 people there (so much for me to handle), but somehow I managed to have a good time, as we had plenty of tasty food, and I knew those guys for a looooong time. We played some games and discussed our experiences within the group and in the outside world, and we did some photos as well... Anyway, it was fun, even when the older members invited me to have a drink at our favourite place (I went, but I only drank juice as I always do). But an hour before it was over, I felt awfully tired and worn down, and by the time I got home I had a serious fever so I had to go to bed. (The meeting began at 9, we left the HQ at 13, and I got home at 17.) Getting overloaded when you have a good time? Do you experience such things too? I still have some reminiscent of pain in my joints, but I don't want give up seeing my friends, especially because many of them are non-NTs as well.

I can manage social situations but only for approx 1/2 day then I am exhausted for a couple of days.
I'm glad you had a good time and hope that you get to do similar stuff in the future, it can be worth the suffering afterwards!

It sounds like a particularly tough day to me. Or at least the headache does. I'm assuming this is the first time this has happened?

Well, I had the fever-thing before, but those times I knew what it was - a particularly noisy bus ride, some substantial changes in daily routine, bullying, math test distress, etc. This time I couldn't determine just why I became overwhelmed.
(A straightedge getting hangover :D)

It kind of sounds like you were dehydrated, because that can bring on those symptoms. That used to happen to me when I was younger and had a really busy or socially demanding day. I'd come home literally burning up and have to go to bed. Looking back, I think it was dehydration because these feverish episodes never turned into colds, flu, etc. I'd get so hyped-up during those types of days that I would literally "burn out" physically as well as mentally.

Stress often makes me feel weak, feverish, sickly. I get random dull pains in my wrists and hands. Sometimes get chills and shudders too. Also have sensations in my head (ringing, buzzing sensations). Plus my arms feel weak and tingly inside. I also have a kind of stuffed up, cottony, light headed feeling where my brain just doesn't work right. I feel this way at the moment.

I also get this way when I drink too much coffee to stay awake. I will be horribly tired yet I drink caffeine to wake up. It gets to the point where I just feel like puke.

Maybe you are tired but the socializing stimulated you at the same time. Sometimes stimulating activity when I'm over tired has this effect on me just like coffee.
