I'm so tired of the comments I get from people. I use to think most NTs were mean to me, but the other day, an aspie even put me down. I was in shock! Just today my boyfriend tells me stop being such a baby, grow up! Ahhh I wish I could grow up, I wish I wasn't so ret*d. Ugh, does anybody else have people say this to them?

"Big Baby" used to be a nickname of mine.

Depressed people need HELP to "buck up and grow up". Did your bf say it in a serious, hateful way? If so, it's time to find another bf!

Luckily I'm not really suffering from depression thankfully, and he said is a way to try to get me to move my butt, so in a way it was a put down, but also a joke at the same time.

Once I overheard a conversation between my brothers and my mom where they were accusing her of letting me grow up as a immature wuss.

So, yeah.

Mostly, I'm called hypersensitive and spoiled.

I don't think I've ever been called a baby. . .but things to that effect.

I've been commanded to grow a thicker skin. Just how does one go about that? Sounds painful. :x

I hate to say it, but this has happened to me. It is almost ALWAYS because of hypersensitivity, or that they give me unneeded presure, or that I am doing what THEY should be! No matter what, their statements are unreasonable!

I don't think I have heard this in a while being said to me.

I remember my master bursting into my room at 4:30 one morning and screaming "JAMES, DID YOU EAT ALL MY BISCUITS?!". His voice wakes me up due to past events, and the shock of the whole thing made me cry.

Later on when the police got told of it in a legal document describing my post-traumatic stress, he yelled at me to stop being such a baby and grow the flippin' hell up (I'm "imagining things" and putting on an act... damn Narcs.)

Then again, I've always been a soft person, even if someone just says "oi, shut up" to me, it's like it burns inside like an insult, makes me grow hot and my eyes water a bit. I hate the way I react to some things.

Yeah, I've gotten this one too, although mostly over my social anxiety issues.

I think that's the most insensitive and ignorant thing someone could ever say to someone with social anxiety.

Funnily enough, as a child I was described as both mature, and a cry baby. Paradox.

As an adult, yes, often told to develop a thick skin. Mine is very thin, both literally and figuratively.
