Hi, I'm new here. I was searching the web a few weeks ago and came across a website that had a list of doctors/professionals in the nation who diagnose asperger's. however, i can't seem to find it. has anyone ever come across this site? or have another site they know of?

Are you in the UK? Here where I am there are TWO specialist centres within 20miles of each other. Other UK centres are listed on the NAS website www.autism.org.uk

Most large cities should have at least, one physician who is familiar with Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Children are
usually brought to the attention of needing such services through their school system.

In my area, about 90 minutes from Albany, New York, there is a special treatment center specially designed for children, teens
and adults with Autism or on the Autism Spectrum...although it has a greater population of children that they serve through a preschool program, Trade Winds (an educational facility for older kids), counseling services, a psychiatrist who specializes in Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders, a support group for teens and adults who must be at least age 15 to join, residential housing...community residences and supportive apartments, parent support groups, etc. They are attempting to set up a summer
camp for kids with Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders for next year.

This facility is known as the "Kelberman Center for Autism" and any information one needs regarding this outstanding treatment center can be found on their website: www.kelbermancenter.org

Hope this may be helpful for anyone in the New York State region.
